rig whoami before operating on resources.
Choose an output format
rig config unset output to return to the default format. Supported values and flags are listed in config set.
Filter JSON output
Use--query with a JMESPath expression. Inspect the unfiltered response first so your expression matches the returned shape.
Supply structured input
For commands with several arguments, generate an input template and review it before execution:--cli-input-json spawn.json or --cli-input-yaml spawn.yaml. These input options conflict; use one. File input still runs the command and is not a dry run. Do not commit credentials in input files.
Inspect persisted defaults
The local configuration is stored in$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/rigbox/config.json, or ~/.config/rigbox/config.json when XDG_CONFIG_HOME is unset. Use config get, config set, and config unset to manage supported settings.
Troubleshoot
If a query returns no values, rerun without--query and inspect the response. If scripted input is rejected, regenerate the skeleton with the installed CLI version and consult the command’s arguments. Check execution modes when a flag or command is unavailable inside a workspace.
